Die Ankunft eines Zuges auf dem Bahnhof in Bargteheide [the arrival of the train at Bargteheide train station] is a moving-image work that interweaves contemporary 16mm film images of Bartgeheide train station with the memory of the artist’s grandmother, Irmgard Asmussen. Framed around a conversation between the two, Irmgard tells of receiving her father at the station after the cessation of the Second World War.
